Effective June 1, 2016, there was a change of ownership from Jadi  and Jarka Novakova to Marlene Barta, Juan Carlos Palma and Tara Salesses. The new owners are pleased to announce the addition of Coach Juan Carlos Palma, who will oversee the entire gymnastics program for Novaks. Coach Juan Carlos will also be the Head Coach for the Junior Olympic (JO) Team and the TOPS Program. We are also proud to announce the addition of Coach Loreto Alvarado, who will be the head coach for the Xcel Team and will oversee the Recreational Program. Elena Davis will continue as the Head Coach for the Trampoline and Tumbling Team.

Novaks Gymnastics Center, Inc. has provided an excellent gymnastics program for over a quarter of a century and has produced amazing and talented gymnasts. One of their star athletes, Leanne (Seitzinger) Opperman, was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2013.  Leanne was on the 2007 Women’s Tumbling World Championships Team that earned the gold medal in Quebec City, Canada. The gold medal represents the first and only Women’s gold medal for Trampoline and Tumbling at the World Championships since this program became a part of USA Gymnastics in 1999.

The entire Novaks staff will be working together to continue to provide an excellent gymnastics program in a positive environment for the gymnasts and their families.

Every child needs an outlet for their energy, and we have a productive one at Novaks Gymnastics. We don’t necessarily aim to build Olympic champions in our classes (but if that interests you, our teams offer that level of commitment); instead, we focus on instilling a lifelong commitment to physical activity and an opportunity for children to meet new friends and have fun learning new skills. We have options for everybody here—check it out.

There is a point where gymnastics transitions from hobby to commitment, and teams are that line of distinction. Our teams offer the same benefits as our classes—safety, proper technique, and a fun way to exercise—but they have a higher level of commitment. If spending 10-12 hours a week at the gym sounds like a good time to you, then you may want to consider our teams. We offer both trampoline and tumbling (junior Olympic) and artistic gymnastics (XCEL) teams.

Open Gym

We understand that not every family can commit to gymnastics classes or teams, and this is why we offer weekly open gyms. These give an opportunity for athletes to play on all of our equipment under the supervision of coaches that are also available to help athletes who want to work on particular skills.
